Welcome to the Kinesiology of Sports Massage Course!

This fast-paced course helps prepare a student with fundamental knowledge and review prior to taking advanced technique courses such as Active Release Technique, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Anatomy Trains, or Fascial Stretch Technique certifications. Students will learn some deeper muscle anatomy, movement rotations, and general fascial lines of seven different areas of the body including the Neck, Shoulder/Arm, Back, Hip, Legs, and Feet. This course is in context of various sports patterns and movements, which will be highlighted throughout each body segment.  This course pairs well when taken prior to the Sports Injuries and Soft Tissue Assessments course.

Course Objectives:
  • Learn the anatomy of individual muscles for 7 sections of the body
  • Learn anatomical movement patterns for 7 sections of the body within different sports
  • Correctly identify and move a client’s body using anatomy and directional patterns in each of the 7 sections
